Introduction to Quilting: Make a One-, Four-, or Nine-Patch quilt (ages 13-adult)

Learn the very basics of quilting while making a one-patch or nine-patch quilt by hand or machine.

    • Measuring and cutting

    • Basic seams

    • Cutting the “strips” 

    • Sewing the “strips” together (if machine piecing)

    • Sewing the blocks together (for four- and nine-patch quilts)

    • Adding a border

    • Backing and basting

    • Quilting

    • Binding 

5-10 sessions, depending on lesson length and student pace. Students will need to work on their quilt between sessions.
