Classes, Workshops, and Private Lessons
I offer after-school in-person art class, art workshops, and private lessons.
Art Workshops focus on a specific theme or art skill over several weeks. Depending on the workshop length, they include a series of 1-5 projects. Workshops are a great way to sample different themes or art skills.

I teach in-person classes and workshops in my home teaching studio, wearing masks. I continue teach online using Zoom or Google Meet.
Fall 2024 Art Classes for Kids
“Exploring Art” for Kindergarten-3rd grade students:
Mondays 3:20-4:20pm
Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm
“Adventures in Art” for 4th-6th grade students:
Mondays 2:15-3:15pm
Mondays 5:00-6:00pm
Tuesdays 5:00-6:00pm
“Artistic Escapades” for middle school students:
Tuesdays 4:00-5:00pm
*3rd grade students with advanced art skills and passion may request to participate in “Adventures in Art”
Project-focused workshops
Project-focused Workshops lead students through a series of projects related to a theme.
Projects begin with discussion of artwork or a book related to the theme, followed by brainstorming and skill-building activities.
Students usually complete intermediate projects over multiple sessions.
Projects build on one another, becoming more complex and layered.
For the final project, students incorporate their own interests and passions while applying new skills.
Workshops meet weekly for 3-8 weeks.

Technique-focused Workshops
Technique-focused Workshops build specific techniques by progressing through a series of projects.
Discussion of artwork introduces each new skill.
Students learn skills step-by-step while completing a series of intermediate projects.
The final project pulls all the skills and elements of the intermediate projects together.
The final project provides students the greatest opportunity for including their own interests and ideas.
Workshops meet weekly for 4-8 weeks.

Private or Small Group Lessons
If the workshops don’t meet your needs or match your interests, we work together to determine your artistic interests and needs, then tailor lessons to match.
Lessons will be ongoing and we will continually consult to determine the next themes and skills to focus on as we plan projects.
